Imagine Language and Literacy is an adaptive digital program designed to accelerate students’ reading and language proficiency. Learning List recently reviewed the content for grades K-5. The material intends to supplement core literacy instruction by providing lessons and practice in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
This program begins with a standard instructional sequence. Then, the lessons and activities students receive adapt based on each student’s performance on ongoing formative assessments. Thus, instruction and practice are personalized to the student’s needs and abilities.
Materials include a digital library of beginning and leveled books. Additionally, the program provides first-language support for sixteen languages. The LMS allows teachers to track student progress in real-time and while the program is adaptive, teachers can assign specific lessons and activities to each student.
