Mentoring Minds’ ThinkUp! Science is a comprehensive instructional material that supports TEKS-based instruction in grades 3 through 8. Science is designed to help students develop critical thinking skills and connect science skills and knowledge to real world situations.

ThinkUp! Science provides concise, organized instruction and practice focused on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for science. ThinkUp! also supports instruction in the 9 traits of Critical Thinking, as defined by Mentoring Minds, by providing activities designed to increase overall rigor and complexity through open-ended questions and activities.

The design of the material supports engagement and learning for students at a variety of levels with a variety of activity types and student groupings. The material is available in English (grades 3-8) and Spanish (grades 3-5). Additionally, the material provides multiple interventions that are specific to the skills in each unit.
