Overview of Accelerate Learning’s STEMscopes Texas Math

Accelerate Learning’s STEMscopes Texas Math is a comprehensive mathematics program for Kindergarten through Algebra I, designed to meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The materials are digital, with the option of printing PDF documents for most program components. The program makes intentional connections between mathematical concepts and real-world contexts.

The goal of the program is to provide meaningful learning experiences that focus on 21st-century skills and support student success in STEM careers. Scopes (lessons) require students to use critical thinking, reflection, and collaborative exploration. The material provides consistent opportunities for students to explain and justify their thinking and includes instructional experiences that support inquiry-based learning.

The program supports blended learning environments with a digital platform that provides an abundance of resources. Teachers receive pedagogical suggestions to help them provide instruction that develops higher-level thinking and questioning. The student platform includes materials assigned by the teacher, games, student notes, the visual glossary, and access to grades. Student material does not include a “traditional” textbook or eText.
