This comprehensive resource supports instruction in high school Advanced Placement (AP) World History courses. Content is available in print and digital formats with additional online resources. Instruction emphasizes overarching themes (e.g., Interaction Between Humans and the Environment) to help students make connections across regions, cultures, and periods in time.
Traditions & Encounters begins with a preface that introduces students to the course’s features, the AP themes for world history, historical thinking skills, the format and types of questions on the AP exam, and how the exam is scored. Subsequent content is organized in seven parts.
