Have you thought about using STEAM to teach ELA? Take a look at Learning List’s reviews of TPS’s English I-IV.

TPS’s English I-IV is a comprehensive English language arts program for grades 9-12 (English I-IV). The materials are available in print and digital form. TPS Englishfocuses on using STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) activities as a basis for instruction to support student learning of the ELA TEKS.

Each TPS English lesson and project focuses on teaching a singlestudent expectation. Within each lesson, students and teachers are consistently directed to the TPS TEKS Fact Sheets which provide explanation and definition of the TEKS, at the breakout level, as well as examples of activities to support student learning of the standard.

Reading, writing, listening, and speaking are integrated in the standard-specific lessons and projects, though not consistently. The material provides questions and activities at all levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy.
