BrainPOP’s English content is comprised of five units that each include multiple topics. Units are Famous Authors & Books, Grammar, Study and Reading Skills, Writing, and Free Movies. Some topics are repeated in more than one unit. The program is intended for students’ independent use. Units and topics are not sequential and may be accessed by the student in any order.

Instruction is provided through videos and interactive activities, such as creating a concept map, taking a quiz, or practicing vocabulary. The content is available in English and in Spanish (through BrainPOP Espanol), but Learning List reviewers noted that there is more content available in English than in Spanish.
