Edgenuity’s Advanced Quantitative Reasoning is a comprehensive, online course that supports instruction in blended learning and self-paced environments. Most of the instruction is provided through the Edgenuity LMS in video-based lessons. The materials focus on developing students’ understanding of math concepts and their real-world applications. Instruction includes virtual and classroom-based activities.
The program contains eight units with multiple lessons in each unit. A variety of teachers provide instruction in short video lectures, supported by guided notes, demonstrations, guided practice, and brief checks for understanding. Logically sequenced lessons, designed in small, manageable segments, keep students motivated and support their conceptual understanding and ability to work independently.
Edgenuity AQR is self-paced and designed for students to work independently; however, teacher involvement increases the program’s rigor and increases the likelihood of student success. Teachers can require students to complete the entire course or a pre-test version, which addresses only the portions of content students still need to learn. Teachers can also customize the content.
